A variation of the donya victorina complex, a sarcasm for the so called philippine independence

Donya Victorina is the famed character in Dr. Jose Rizal's novel, an old hag, we could also call her the "Pimp" of her lovely Daughter whom she want to be married to a spanish officer. She epitomises the filipino crab mentality, colonial chameleonism, a pretender who wants to dress up, act, and even hallucinates that she is of spanish birth.

this is an allusion to the current state of the Philippines, we are Victorina's in an americanised society, we thought we are free and yet we are this old woman, dressed in as an old maid, symbolising our slavery in both politics and thought,our ways of living, and our colonial preference, a Philippines that is old and bounded by both its religious cancer and the economic arrow pointing down whilst waving a flag screaming the value of philippine peso, that is "Zero Peso"
